I might get around to writing a real entry here soon (and after a weekend in New Orleans, surely I can come up with something to say). But I saw this meme on BTM and Cassia’s blogs, and I liked it too much not to follow the crowd.

Plus, it’s fun to think about the ways we’ve changed since our teen years… and the ways that we’re exactly the same.

10 things I liked as a teenager but hate now:

  1. The mall
  2. Contemporary Christian music
  3. Airports
  4. Shania Twain
  5. Going to the movies
  6. The beach
  7. Top 40 radio
  8. The fatty part of steak
  9. Summer
  10. Florida (OK, I don’t hate it… but I don’t especially like it, either.)

10 things I hated as a teen but like now:

  1. My hair
  2. My face
  3. Spinach
  4. Birmingham (yeah, can you believe it?)
  5. Coffee
  6. Painted toe nails
  7. Cheese
  8. Morning
  9. My dad changing my first radio preset to the classic rock station every time he drove my car (he doesn’t have to do it now… it’s already there!)
  10. The color red

10 things I liked as a teen and still like:

  1. Driving around town aimlessly
  2. CD stores
  3. Reading
  4. The color green
  5. Doing nothing in particular with close friends
  6. Red meat
  7. Road trips
  8. Formal dresses
  9. Clinique’s almost lipstick in Black Honey
  10. Writing

10 things I hated as a teen and still hate:

  1. Math
  2. Traffic
  3. Scary movies
  4. Hemingway
  5. Mopping
  6. Parades
  7. Sweating
